Club Administration Committee Meeting Minutes |
|
Date: Oct. 8, 2008
Venue: Seoul Rotary Club Weekly Meeting
Present: Jang, Song-Hyong, Tom Coyner (only)
Administration Committee Mission Statement: The Seoul Rotary Club Administration Committee works to improve club fellowship by various means to create one-on-one friendships among the club members. In addition, we offer advice on how to improve club financial efficiency.
Short-Term Objectives:
1. Start weekly meetings from noon with half-hour social time whenever the Hyatt Hotel can arrange.
2. Recruit two ˇ°Social Chairpersonsˇ± to help arrange golf outings, family picnics, special interest clubs, or whatever our membership wishes in special social activities.
3. Explore with the Board and our general membership the viability of occasionally having dinner meeting in lieu of weekly luncheon meetings (not assembly meetings)
4. Recruit one assembly meeting sponsor for this quarter
5. Recruit one commitment for a company site visit for this quarter or next
6. Recruit someone to act as a club ˇ°Antennaˇ± who weekly gives a verbal report during the weekly meetings on the goings-on of our membership (good example is Hanyang RC)
7. Review the current status of annual dues payments by members and motivate overdue members to make their payments.
P.S. Also at our table sat Rtn. Songjae along with non-responsive Rtns. Chaekyung and C.K to make up the Rotary Foundation Committee. At a great deal of our urging, Rtn. J.Y. left his table where he was conversing to join our table which also hosted the Rotary Foundation Committee. The one constructive suggestion that was discussed, but not committed, was to develop a program to urge Seoul Rotarians to donate $200 a year to the PHF so that in 5 years most may become Paul Harris Fellows.
Rtn. Tom
