¡°On the Korean Traditional Pavilion¡±
Ms. In-Souk Cho, Architect, DaaRee Architect & Associates
In-Souk Cho, received her B. Arch. from Hanyang University, M. Arch. from Sungkyunkwan University in Seoul. She is a Ph.D. candidate in Architectural History specializing in historic conservation and restoration at Sungkyunkwan University.
She studied Historic Conservation and History of Architecture at the University of Munich and Technical University of Munich in Germany within an exchange program scholarship.
Cho has taught Architectural History, Design, and Design Studio at various universities in Seoul and presented her research at international conferences. She is Principal of DaaRee Architect & Associates and Director of the Samlee Research Center for Conservation and Restoration Co., Ltd. She has been a Deputy Chair for the Conservation Committee of Bukchon Hanok (2001-2009).
For the last 33 years, Cho has been engaged in the design of a wide variety of projects and restoration of Heritage Architecture both in Korea and in other countries including China, Singapore, Bangladesh, and Ethiopia. Her most recent projects include a restoration work of the Hahn Moo-Sook House in Seoul.
She is currently a commissioner of Presidential Committee for the Asian Hub-City of Culture; a member of ICOMOS Korea; she teaches 'History of Korean Architecture' and 'History of Asian Architecture' at the Architectural Department, Hanyang University.
August 10. 2010, she was invited to ¡°ART SUMMER 2010 Wiesbaden, Germany¡± under the title to hold a lecture about the concept of traditional Korean Pavilions.

'Labor Law Update'
Mr. Patrick Monaghan, Kim & Chang
Patrick Monaghan is foreign legal consultant (admitted in New York and New Jersey) and a member of Kim & Chang¡¯s labor & employment practice. Patrick extensively advises both foreign and domestic clientele on a range of issues, including workforce restructuring (Voluntary and Early Retirement Programs), within and outside the context of mergers and acquisitions (his secondary specialization), unionization and collective bargaining, and the establishment and structuring of employee retirement pensions.
Since joining Kim & Chang in 2005, Mr. Monaghan has written and spoken widely on topics related to Korean labor law, including at the Korea/Japan Employment Law Conference in Singapore, the British and American Chambers of Commerce in Seoul, and in the news media. He has also taught a finance law course as an adjunct professor of law & finance at the Graduate School of Management at the Korean Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), and previously earned his MBA at the Wharton School of Business and his JD at the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
